Question

multiple symptoms

Sent to Health Experts July 11, 2005 6:43 p.m.

Could multiple symptoms, such as hashimoto's thyroiditis, anxiety, weight gain, cardioneurogenic syncope, hot flashes not associated with menopause, fatigue, back pain not associated with injury or disease, be associated with each other? Could they be associated with the adrenal gland?

Hi Joni

I have been researching your question off and on for several hours now and cannot find a relationship to the adrenal gland. A lot of the symptoms you name could be related to the thyroiditis. I would also be curious as to what medications you are taking (or the person with these symptoms). Some of it could be related to the medications.

Kerry,
I am sorry it is so long to reply. Our credit cards were stolen and we had to wait for the new ones.

My meds are: Synthroid 0.5 qam; Neurontin 1200mg qam and 1800mg qhs; Prozac 60mg qhs; Seraquel 300mg qhs and 100mg qam; TopralXL 150mg qhs; Mirapex 25mg qhs (for restless leg syndrome); Provigil 400mg qam, Nexium 40mg qam.

Other things I did not tell you is that I use a CPAP machine for Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

All of this is probably not related, but I am almost desparate for answers.

I don't know if this helps, but it is worth a try. I am on call today and tonight so if I don't answer right away, I will answer when I can.
