Question

Spleen and pancreas enlargment along with severe back pain

Sent to Health Experts July 18, 2005 4:35 p.m.

Hi, My father (53) was just admitted to the hospital due to extreme back pain. (He literally can't move) They did a catscan and found that his pancreas is enlarged along with his spleen. Could these be related to the back pain, or a sign of something else? The doctors say they don't know why they are enlarged. (Maybe he slipped a disc in his back?) What would you say about these enlargments? (He has high bloodpressure and triglycerides) If you can think of any relation between the enlargments and back pain I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks!
