Question

what is a good mechanical device for back pain?

Sent to Health Experts December 03, 2005 4:53 p.m.

I'm 56 and have a curvature of the lower spine along with osteoarthritus. I work out but my flexibility is not there. Pain in the morning especially.
So I'm thinking of trying an Inversion Table or Gravity Boots to "decompress" each day. I look at a web site that offers different inversion tables and I'm wondering which one I should get.
If I call them, I'm thinking they will steer me towards a machine just to sell it. So I'm asking a third party like you.
I go to a chiropractor off and on but I think if I ask him if he recommends a table, he might not because it would decrease my visits to him.

Thanks,
Tim
