I had back pain 2 years ago and it turned out to be that my left ovary was trapped inside my intestines and they were pushed into my back which was causing the pain. After he removed the ovary and got my intestines unglied to my back, the pain went away even though things didn't seem to be working like they should, like having a regular bowl movement and sometiems not having one at all. Now after 2 years this pain has started on my left side in the back again to the point where I can't walk or do anything that requires movement. I'm not sure if it's my kidney or the intestines again. I don't know what kind of doctor to start of with first. I do know that I need some medical help ASAP

A CT Scan of the abdomen will most likely show the problem. The CT can be ordered by any doctor including general internal medicine, family practice, emergency department physician etc. Once the problem is defined, you will know what doctor to see for treatment. A general surgeon could perform surgery if the problem was the intestines or perhaps even adhesions (scar tissue binding down loops of bowel. This type of pain tends to come in waves like cramps.
It is of course possible that the problem is totally different than before.
Pain in the left side which makes it difficult to walk could be from a musculoskeletal problem such as a disc compression, muscle strain etc.
A kidney infection can also cause pain in the left flank area. A urinalysis would be helpful to see if any infection is there. Once again any of the above mentioned doctors can order the urinalysis and CT scan.
If you are really uncomfortable or have fever, consider going to an emergency room.

Hope this has been helpful.
Good luck
