I'm having numbness in my knees legs and feet and

I'm having numbness in my knees legs and feet and I'm also having severe shooting pains through my spine followed by muscle spasms in the left arm. What could be the problem? Does it sound like nerve damage? It's in BOTH legs, and feet. I have no surface feeling on either feet and have recently gone to the er. I was poked 15 times with a needle in each foot, of those 15 times, I felt only 5. I'm beginning to get nervous because my symptoms are not going away.
