My mom has had back pain in her lower right hand side...I ...

My mom has had back pain in her lower right hand side...I thought maybe a kidney infection, but today I come home and she is in bed and has shortness of breath and numbness on the stomach right in front of where she had the back pain...what is wrong??? Does she need to go to the doctor asap...if so she won't listen to me.

She needs to go to an Emergency room to rule out the following possibilities:

  • pancreatitis
  • gallbladder disease
  • duodenal ulcer
  • colon cancer with obstruction
  • colitis
  • kidney infection
  • liver abcess
