Crazy Period

Im 21 and i dont get my period i statred having my period when i was 12 when i turned 17 my period started to go crazy. i stopped having it so i went to the doc. and they put me on birth control pills once i stopped taking them i stopped having my period. i weigh 218 what can i do to get my period back and for it to be normal? please help me!!
