pill period control birth
Sent to Health Experts September 20 02:42 PM

Hi...
I am on birth control. I went to the gyno about 2-3 weeks ago for my yearly check up and about two days after that I started bleeding. It wasn't spotting like she said would happen, it was heavy blood, almost like it was my period. Since I am on the pill and I know EXACTLY when I'm getting my period, I figured and hoped it would just go away in a few days. I am now on my "off week" of my birth control and I am supposed to change pills after this week. I had my "period" for about a week and a half, which is long for me. I was wondering if it would hurt me if I counted that as my period and just put in my prescription for my new pill and continued to take that until my next period. I don't really enjoy having my period and having it for two weeks will not be fun at all. If you could get back to me as soon as possible on Cutekt38@yahoo.com that would be great. Thank you!

Hello

It would be fine to start the new pill early. Not a problem. So, I would count that as your period.
