Last week I started birth control pills (desogen) for the first time in over a year. I started them on the first day of my period as instructed. My period lasted about 5 days then completely stopped. Two days ago I missed my pill (pill number 6), but I read the instructions and just took it as soon as I remembered (about 15-16 hours late) then I took my next pill on schedule. I'm bleeding now though, since yesterday, very light spotting. But enough to make me wonder.
