I recently began taking birth control for the first time. Called Mercilon 28 - I acquried it from the internet with an online consultation, I have never seen a gynecologist or otherwise - because anytime that I could schedule a visit I was menstruating and they would not see me. B4 my periods were very painful. However now that I've started the pill, as of March 23, starting on the first day of my period - my period was very extensive and lasted much longer than usual - b4 they lasted 3-5 days tops - and now theyre 7-9 days long. I just got off my period and now I woke this morning to see that I am bleeding again. Could this just be breakthrough bleeding? Post-coital bleeding? I am a very sexually active woman and am in a monogamous relationship. What's your advice?
