REPLIED Check Mark

You may have endometriosis. This is diagnosed by directly looking into the pelvis with an instrument during surgery. If you have had ultrasound already that is normal and a trial of birth control pills to see if changing hormone balance works, the next step is proving endometriosis
best wishes

Couple of things: I have had 2 kidney transplants, one at age 2 and the second at age 17, intercourse in the past year as been painful and i've been going back and forth to my ob doctor who said something about vaginisimus but couldn't explain anything pertaingin to that. I also had been checked for cancer but that was all negative. I however get contant UTI's and i wasn't sure if this is something that I need to follow up with if endometriosis is a possibility....do i get a new OB doctor or what since im a high risk patient anyways?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

This new information points more towards following through with the urologic first. If you are getting frequent lower urinary tract infection and have had 2 kidney transplants, you don't want to risk a kidney (upper tract) infection. There may be scar tissue or some other urologic issue that is creating both the pain and the frequent infections. I would go to the urologist and check that all out before pursuing endometriosis
