birth control

I have not been able to purchase my birth control ortho evra patch for the last two weeks...so basically it has been two weeks with my patch. Yesterday I was able to purchase it and now I do not know when to apply the first patch. Should I wait another week and start after my period or apply one now. Saturday is the day I normally change my patch.
