i have been on ortho tri-cyclen for a year now, with no problems. i have been skipping the placebo pills and starting a new pack in order to not get a period. i started bleeding and i have had my period for about a month now. whats going on?

i have an appt to see my GYN on wednesday, but i am not able to keep the appt. i am just really weak and tired, possibly from bleeding. i was told it was okay to skip the placebo pills and skip periods all together due to my periods being so painful.
