I am 30 years old-I am having an irregular period-I am usually very regular-every three weeks for at least 5-6 days. This time the bleeding has lasted 7 days so far-and it has slowed some but not like normal- I took birth control the first two days of this period-the wrong ones(by accident) could this be the cause of the long period?

The prolonged period is due to withdrawal effect of birth control pill which you stopped after 2 days.
