I have had 2 periods in 2 weeks, should I be concerned?

I started my period on October 26. It ended on the 30th. I started my birth control on the 29th. I took niacin on November 6th and had a horrible reaction. I then started spotting on the 7th, and on the 8th started another full blown period. I am bleeding more than usual. Should I be concerned?
