I've been on Loestrin 24 since Nov. 06, my boyfriend and I don't use condoms, but he always pulls out. My period has been really light since starting birth control, in March I had spotting for about a 4 days during the second week of that pack, and when I was suppose to get my period I got it 2 days after it should have started and only lasted 1 day. My period was due April 4th, but hasn't showed up as yet, I didn't start the new pack. I took pregnancy test that showed negative result, but I've been getting shorten of breath while just standing talking, it's becoming uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach and my breast are at times slightly tender. I could be pregnant even though I know I didn't miss any of the pills?

As reported by FDA , the failure rate of BC pills is 1-2 per 100 women . So chances of getting pregnant are very rare.

Delayed periods , can be due to Hormonal abnormalities, which cause fluctuating levels of the hormones ., Emotional stress. Also sometimes it is common finding to miss periods while on BC pills.

Get a Clinical examination from Gynaecologist.
