Question

If i stopped taking birth control will it affect my period?

i stopped taking my birth control pills about four weeks ago,i have had unprotected sex numerous times and i still haven't gotten my period.i have gotten period cramps but no bleeding and i have taken pregnancy tests and they say negative.is this normal?should i wait a couple more weeks to see the doctor?could i be pregnant?
