I take birth control pills and missed one day
Sent to Health Experts November 18 08:50 PM

I take birth control pills and missed one day last weekend. The next day's pill was taken, but about a half a day late. Since then I had some mild pinkish blood one one night this week and more heavier (yet not like my regular period) bleeding just now. I have never spotted or bled in between my periods even when missing the pill. Could I be pregnant? I can call my doctor tomorrow, but in the meantime, I'm unsure if I should continue with my pill for tonight. I had my period from Mon, 10/29-Sun, 11/4.

I have been on this pill, ortho low, for well over a year. That was the only one missed, yet I did not take the next day's pill on time until late that night. No other symptoms I think.

unsure29,

One pill wouldn't make a difference as far as giving you period abnormalities. I highly doubt pregnancy is an issue, as this would not involve heavy bleeding- this would be spotting. I would continue taking the pill on schedule and let your doctor know in the morning. He/she may want you to come in to check your hormone levels, to determine if they are imbalanced.
