is it part of normal vaginal deliveries to have multiple injuries to the pelvic floor.
Patient with first degree perennial tears, then developed perennial hematomas and complete urinary incontinence and fecal incontinence. Even after postpartum swelling diminished, hematomas persisted, uterine prolapse and bladder prolapse found. Fecal incontinence persisted. Two inch anal sphincter tear/scar found. Should CT Scan or MRI have been performed to evaluate hematomas. Was Laparoscopic Repair of Pelvic floor indicated. Patient had forceps assisted delivery for NRFHT.
