there can be 10-15 points difference in the top numbers an 5-10 points difference in the bottom numbers. Usually the bp in my left arm is higher/both systolic and diastolic. I just wonder if there is any significance to this. I do have atrial fib and 4 stents in my left cardiac arteries.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I have high bp and my dominant arm is my left arm. I am just wondering if the difference in readings between the left and right arms is something to discuss with my doctor. I take my bp each am and each nite and the readings in both arms are very rarely within range of each other. Is this clearer?

Yes I understand. Bottom line, yes it is something that you should bring up with your doctor. BP differences in the arms can be a sign of aortic dissection, but typically the diiference is 20+ points in the systolic BP. With your cardiac history it doesn't hurt mentioning though!

It is normal for the BP to vary between two arms, as the blood flows through different paths to both arms. Typically the left is higher.

Thanks and good luck!
