I have been taking blood pressure medicine, i.e. Clonidine and Nifedipine for about two months and I ran out of Nifedipine this a.m. I take 25 mg twice daily of that and I can't get anymore until Friday due to finances. My dr. has said that I cannot stop taking any medications suddenly because it's dangerous. My blood pressure is under control at this moment. What does he mean when he says "dangerous" and what can I expect until I get my refill on Friday. I am not financially able to get it sooner.

Your answer applies not only to the clonadine but to the nifedipine also?

Also, I take Clonidine ONCE a day because my blood pressure became very low and the doctor who had me taking it twice daily decreased it to once. Should I increase it temporarily until I get the nifedipine?
