My mother who will turn 80 just had an aortic valve replacement surgery. As a result of this surgery, since she had a big amount of calcification on her aorta wall, a deposit of calcium was moved to the brain causing stroke. Now she is paralyzed on her left side and in rehabilitation. As a result of the surgery they twice drained big amount of liquid off her body. My question is that her left foot (sick one) is swollen. They did an ultrasound - negative results. This is her third week and the swelling has not gone down and today the right one was swollen too. This is making her learning to walk again more difficult. What can be done and if you know of similar cases. Thank youOptional Information: Age: 80Already Tried: under dr's care
