I've been taking Phentermine for over a year now and thanks to my husband, I have discovered that I'm having symptoms of PPH. Since taking phentermine 35.7mg (1 tablet twice daily), I've been diagnosed with high blood preasure, depression and anxiety. Instead of testing me, my doctor prescribed medications. So to add to the intake of phentermine, I now take :Hydrochlorot 25mg(once daily) for hypertension, Lexapro 10mg(once daily) for depression and xanax 10mg(four times daily) for anxiety and panic attacks. How can I get tested for PPH when obviously my doctor has no concerns? And should I test ASAP?

The only two ways to test for PPH is with either a echocardiogram with an ultra sonic devise or a catheter. Not every one with high blood pressure has PPH. This is very serious and
unless you have been tested, and the results are conclusive, you may not have it. You may be thinking about the people who took Fen-Fen years ago and developed this problem. The drug you are taking does not do this by itself. Some people with PPH have a shorter life expediency and I'm sure if your doctor thought you had it, he would have ordered a test for it. You can call him and ask for a name of a Cardiologist. He will give you the very best advise and you will know exactly what is going on. Please try that route and this way you will know and put your mind at ease.
