On my last blood work up everything was with range but

On my last blood work up everything was with range but my sodium it was 132 a little below range...my doctor said to add a little table salt to my meals...just how importnent is the sodium ?...and just how much is LITTLE TABLE SALT...all 3 meals or maybe just one....I also take blood pressure meds..ADALTE 5/20 which keeps it in range...I have noticed to dry mouth so I drink lots of water ...which I know I should anyway...

Salt is necessary for humans to maintain the balance of the physical fluids system. Sodium is also required for nerve and muscle functioning. Too much sodium can damage our kidneys and increases the chances of high blood pressure.

You can add a quarter teaspoon salt to one of your meal.
