i am 23 years old and i have NEVER had a headache in my entire life. I got my very first one 2 months ago and it still hasn't left. It's been constantly with me for about 2 months - not going away. The ONLY time my head hurts is when i "shake" it, as if to gesture with my head no, or yes or even if i turn my head to the right to look over at something. The pain at first was only on the top right hand side of my head, now over the past week it has stayed in that position only it is also hurting now on the left hand side too, as if it spread. I was wondering if it could be serious and if i should go get an mri or what it could be?

Reply to Brenda's Post: Yes, I've had it for almost 2 months. And I thought it was weird because I've never had one before. I asked my boyfriend if headaches hurt only when you shake your head and he told me no, not really - it just aches for no real reason. Nothing happened to me prior to the start of the head ache, that i can remember. I don't feel any more stressed than that of the average person, or any more than normal. About 10 years ago i did get a concusion for 3 hours, I was taken to the hospital, monitored overnight and recieved an mri. Everything looked okay they said. It couldn't be from that could it? My diet hasn't changed. I'm not stressed. The only thing that i can tell you that is different from before the headaches started ar... the headaches and i haven't been getting as much exercise as i used to. Please help! I don't want to do. I don't want to go get an mri if i don't have to because i don't have insurance.

Please help me! What do you think it could be and why is it only when i shake my head?
