I have a red rash under the skin of my legs. It developed about three weeks ago when my blood pressure medcine was changed from norvsa amlpodine. It does not itch and when I put my legs up on the sofa it seems to improve. any ideas

Since it is improved when you elevate the legs, it sounds like there is swelling. A rash "under the skin" sounds like dilated or broken blood vessels under the skin as well. It can also cause a rash independent of other signs. Rashes can indicate allergic reactions as well. Amlodipine is the generic form of Norvasc. Hopefully you are not taking both of these pills. If you are having swelling, you should tell your doc so that the drug can be changed to one that does not cause this.

I am not taking either medicine now. could it be a food allergy or somthing else. Is it dangerous?
