Nitro taken for angina causes me to feel worse light headed ...

Nitro taken for angina causes me to feel worse light headed weakness like a may pass out. within 15-20 min I feel better and angina symtoms hav passed.    IS this a normal re-action to this med? Idread to take it.

has been diagnosed. sten and angio plast nitroand plavix   asprin effexor   low dose xodol I can get back to you Mon.10/8 if you require more info. This is a very important issue for me and I am not satisfied with Cardiologist answer. THanksJ.S.

Angina symptoms are typically brought on by activity. I am concerned that you might not actually be having angina. Furthermore, if you are having angina daily, you really should be on a long-acting nitro like Imdur or Isordil.

The nitro pill you're taking often makes people feel lightheaded because it drops the blood pressure. You may want to check the blood pressure before you take the pill -- this would also be helpful to your physician. If your systolic is less than 110, then taking the nitro might really make you feel bad.
