Yesterday I noticed swelling in my penial area. My scrotal skin became much thicker, my testicles dropped much lower than usual, and I noticed irritation in the middle thrid of the shaft area. Not thinking too much of it, I had intercourse (protected) last night, and the arousal and the blood flow has made it worse. The middle third portion of the shaft has increased in swelling, and reminds me of when I had poison ivy down there. I am extremely doubtful that its poison ivy, seeing that its a new york city winter. I wanted to know if there was anything I can do, or if I need to go the the emergency room. I feel a steriod creme could work, but I think it needs to be perscription strength. Thank you for your help.

I had something that sounded really similar and was told to put an athletes foot lotion on it. I did it for about 3 days and it was gone. Worth a try.
