My son is 10 years old. I have had him in the emergency room twice for stomach cramps( hurting on the right side more)!!! Vomiting, fever, headache. They have done blood work, cat scan, urine test, and they have said that everything is normal. This has been a on going thing with him also he gets sick like this about every 3 to 6 months, and has been doing this for years. Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

Hi,

The problem can be Chronic (Long Term) Appendicitis.
Although whether chronic appendicitis exists is controversial, most surgeons have managed patients with chronic abdominal pain that resolved with appendectomy. In some cases, patients have noted intermittent right lower abdominal pain and, in fact, the appendix which is subsequently removed has chronic changes consistent with bouts of appendicitis.
