Pancreatic cancer usually doesn't cause symptoms in the early stages. The most common type causes weight loss, poor appetite, back pain and jaundice.

Other symptoms include itching, fever, onset of diabetes, and bowel disturbances.

Weakness and loss of energy can also be a symptom. Skin rash, redness, anemia, mouth ulcers and diarrhea occur in some types of pancreatic cancer.

Since there are different types, the symptoms can vary somewhat.
