I am a 61 year old woman that had breast cancer in 1999 and an enlarged heart and had a pacemaker/defibulator inserted in Oct. of 2007. I also have arthritus in my hips. Since Oct. I have had a terrible craving for lemons. I eat at least 3 a day with salt. I peal them and cut them into little bits and eat them. I''ve noticed my weight has decreased substantially. My cardiologist stays I can eat as many as I want. Is this true? Are the lemons unhealthy?

Hello,

As long as you don't over-do the salt, the lemons are fine for you to eat. Lemons are just citrus fruit and are an excellent souce of vitamin C which we all need. Just watch how much salt you eat along with them.
