CT Scans
Sent to Health Experts August 25 04:55 PM

I had a CT scan on my urinary system and all that came up was an
enlargement of the prostate. The doctor still wants to do a
cystoscopy.
He claimed that CT scan doesn't really show up bladder cancer. Is
this true?

Hi

There are different types of cancer. Some may not show up on CT, and some show up via cysto with a biopsy taken while they are in there. Then if there is cancer cells, they will be able to test it to see what kind, and know better the best way to treat it.

I hope that helps,

And, I wish you the very best outcome.
