Dear PJ wright,
Here are a few facts that may help answer your query:
1. The vaccine protects against HPV induced cervical cancer
2. The commonest cause of cervfical cancer is HPV
3. The commonest type of cervical cancer histology is squamous type
4. Initial trials suggest that the vaccine is almost 100 % effective
5. Thus it is most likely to be effective against this type of cancer
6. The vaccine is STILL only in the experimental stage.
So the answer to your question is that it is likely to protect against all types of cervical cancer, however most likely effective against the squamous type of cervical cancer that is caused by HPV, it will also protect against genital warts,

Please get back to me if there are any more queries. Do remember to accept the answer if you find it useful. A positive rating and a bonus at your discretion would be appreciated.

Regards
