Hello,
I have received a note from one of the other members on this website and I stand corrected. The individual who wrote me has explained ot me I am wrong and I AM wrong. Please, I would like for you NOT to accept my incorrect response. Please will you relist the question and accept the other experts response. Seems this is a hoax roomer and neither Johns Hopkins nor the National Institute of Health have ever made any link to dioxin causing cancer due to plastic being in the microwave or freezer and the manufacturer of Saran has clearly indicated that their product is 100% dioxin free in the first place. I apologize for the fact I am clearly wrong here. You can go to www.hoax-slayer.com and see that there are many documents, including Johns Hopkins medical personnel who dispute the claim that dioxin is a problem with plastic and freezing or microwaving.
Please accept my most sincere apologies for my erroreous response. Having been a patient affiliated with Johns Hopkins for over 25 years now, I get many, many E-mails from them and this time around, the one regarding the cancer link and dioxin was not an authentic, bona fide Johns Hopkins news link!
The other expert has set me straight and I am grateful! I do NOT want to be part of perpetuating an internet frenzy of roomers about dioxin.
Sign me "egg on my face." But please, do repost the question and do not accept mine. I will contact the person who has set me straight and indicate that you are relisting--just relist that "you still need help" and you will NOT be charged but for the one post, not my post. I am sorry and please forgive my terrible mistake! Thank you for your understanding. I truly thoguht that the response I gave was correct. I know now it indeed is not! Sincerely, Susan
