Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy),

Thank you for your question. With a large mass on the cervix, you will be tested for cancer by having a biopsy of the cervix done which will be sent to the lab and examined by a pathologist which will confirm or refute that the mass is malignant or benign.

Is there anything else I can help with today?

Reply to SUSAN's Post: How long should I wait to have this done? Also, at present I do not have health insurance. What can I do? I won't be able to see the GYN until April 11, 06. I'm afraid that if it is cancer, it would be too advance to do anything to cure it. The CT scan was done on 10/31/05, and we were not told the results until I had to have the report for my new PCP.
