Hi,
I would have this done as soon as possible. Today is already 4/1 so your appt. is only 10 days away at this point. I understand that you had the CT scan done 10/31/5 and were NOT told the results of the CT scan until you had to report to the new PCP. How long was it from the time the CT scan was done until you were told to report to the new PCP? I will await your response and come back in a second. I will also respond to a few more things with your question as well, OK?
Also, I do want to know the following which will be helpful in answering your message to me of earlier. 1)Have you ever had any abnormal PAP smears in the past?
2)Have you ever had any sexually transmitted disease and if so when and what?
3)Have you had annual PAP's on a regular basis?
4)Did your mom take a drug called "DES" at any time? "DES" was a medication OB's prescribed over 40 years ago in an effort to help maintain her pregnancy. Female offspring of mom's who took this medication have been discovered to have abnormal PAP smears, cervical dysplasia (abnormal cells of the cervix) and cervical cancers. These women are often advised to have PAP's and pelvics more often than annually because cervical cancer has been discovered in these offspring. You can answer by 1,2,3,4, if you like.....
5)What city and state do you reside in so I can check about medical care possibilities for you in your particular state
6) Do you have ANY vaginal discharge, pain anywhere in the pelvic region? If so, for how long?
