If a suspicious lymph node is found by x ray in your chest, does that mean somewhere in your body you have cancer

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion because lymph nodes can become enlarged for a variety of other reasons, most notably, infection. Swelling that comes on suddenly is usually due to infection, swelling that comes thru a long period is usually related to some form of cancer.
