I have been seriously dating a girl that has recently told me that she has a non-wart form of HPV. As a guy, how dangerous is this for me? We use condoms every time we have sex but if I were to end up marrying this girl and wanting to have kids, I would obviously have to subject myself to the disease (although I know that condoms will not provide 100% prevention from HPV). Hypothetically speaking, if I end up marrying this girl, is this greatly increasing my chances of cancer in the later years of my life? Will this negatively affect my health? Also, what are the birth effects for a baby if a woman carries this disease?
Right now I don't know what to do. I really like the girl but I honestly don't know how serious this disease is, especially when I read that 50-75% of people contract this disease sometime throughout their lives.
If I could please get an idea of the severity of this disease and what I should be concerned about, both for my well-being as well as hers, and what dangers I might face if I ever have unprotected sex with my partner, it would be much appreciated.

Confused and Concerned
