Does a blood test rule out the possiblity that a patient has cancer? The reason I ask is because my Father has developed blood clots in his lower leg, has a constant fever, had some internal bleeding which is now under control. The doctors suspected pancreatic cancer but are unable to find a tumor and say that with the blood test being negative that most likely it is not cancer.
