I have non small cell lung cancer, adenocarcenoma. All my

I have non small cell lung cancer, adenocarcenoma. All my lobes show tumors. Removing the left ascending lobe showed some were benign, most were malignant, however, all cancerous are primary tumors. One tumor has invaded the pleural lining. They are calling this Stage IIIB/IV. It is claimed this is unpresidented by three hospitals I went to (the fact that all the tumors are primary) Is this really that unusual. I've been on Tarceva for 19 months.

My half-brother had his thyroid removed...cancer, he is doing fine. Biological father died of prostate cancer. I am being told grandfather had bladder cancer, survived. Other grandfather had lung cancer. Sister had melanoma, is OK.

No, that's all I know. I will keep it in mind however. So the multiple primaries in my lungs is somewhat unusual?
