I have been diagnosed w/ HPV, though I had a hysterectomy, (Only the removal of the uterus and cervex) do I need to worry that I may develop cancer since HPV has been linked to cervical cancer? Are there other cancerous risks associated w/ HPV?

Optional Information:
Female, Age: 52, Texas

Already Tried:
once my dr. cauterized the warts, but I have not had any show up until now, and that was 10 yrs ago. Do I need to worry now, about cancerous risks, w/ HPV even though I no longer have a cervix?

thank you......my doctor seems to be insisting on an appointment to discuss "options". What kind of options do I need to be considering if cervical cancer is not a concern? Any ideas?

Customer (name blocked for privacy) ,if they removed your uterus and cervix ,because you have cancerous lesions , your doctor needs to perform follow up examinations , to rule out the possibility of you having invasion of these cancerous cells ,to others parts of your body .

Patients who had cancer , need to be evaluated ,some years post- surgery , to rule out the possibility of metastasis ( cancerous cells that can invade other areas and produce symptoms years later ) .

Other aspect that doctors need to discuss if it is the patient needs other therapies (like chemotherapy or radiotherapy ) , to remove remaining cancerous lesions ,that could not be removed completely with surgery .

the initial surgery was never related to the HPV, but was done when I was only 25 due to a prolapse uterus...but thank you. I could surmise the same conclusion had the hysterectomy been related to cancer but it was not.
I am just concerned if this could "lead" to any cancer concerns for my future...thank you in advance.....
