I had a grade 2 breast cancer removed by wide local excision - lymph nodes removed, but clear. Radiontherapy thereafter. Was given tamoxifen and two weeks ago was told it had caused a 5cm cyst on my ovary. Have stopped taking tamoxifen - what should I take instead? Thank you

Customer (name blocked for privacy),

Please check the websites I have included. If your breast cancer is estrogen dependent the class of drugs currently favored are the aromatase inhibitors including the drugs Arimidex, Femara and Aromasin. These may be the options you are looking for and will need to discuss the use of this class of drugs with your doctor.

thanks
