Sent to Health Experts September 04, 2006 10:52 p.m.

I have severe chest pain that radiates up to my neck on the slightest exertion now. it seems to be worse these days. I thought it might be my esophagus because it is more sever after I eat.

Do I need open heart surgery for this. I already had a heart attack 17 years ago, I'm on medication for HBP, etc. but the pain is worse in the last few months, seems since I had surgery last October for a hernia in my belly button the sizse of a baby's head. thankyou.
