Reply to Dr. Chuck's Post: he doesnt have to be doing much of anything. he can be just sitting down watching t.v and he will complain that it hurts. when he is active he doesn't seem to complain. he points to his left and, or right side of his upper chest. he says it feels like someone is putting pressure on his chest and he cant breathe but it goes away so quickly and at times comes back 5 to maybe 10 min later but then again it may happen several days later.this started about 2 months ago and i have taken him to the doctors and he had an x-ray and everything came back fine. no this doesn't only happen in the morning. it can happen at anytime of the day. my reaction to all this is frightning because when this is happening he has this painful look on his face so i am very bothered and feel helpless because there has to be something else going on or something else i can do but the doctors are not concerned and not doing anything else.

Reply to Dr. Chuck's Post: there is a strong family history of asthma. i have it, my mom and two of his brothers. he did have bronchitis last month and was treated for that. yes he does cough frequently because he gets colds quite often but he hasn't been coughing lately. when he had the bronchitis he didn't complain of these pains while coughing. we have never had any pets. no we have never smoked and wont allow anyone smoking in my house or any where near us who does. there are no known heart problems or chest pains in our family. a few years ago my son would get frequent headaches and fevers and he had bood work and once again everything came back fine. my son is healthy otherwise. i thought maybe he was suffering from heartburn because he would complain after meals but then it just got to the point where he was just complaining at any given time. oh and no there hasn't been any recent deaths.
