With significantly reduced oxygen uptake then you can have dark tongue and lips indicating central or peripheral cyanosis.

There may be shortness of breath and you may be unable to complete sentences without stopping for air. If there is reduced blood getting to the brain then you may demonstrate signs of confusion. Chest pain and fatigue are other signs.

How low has your blood oxygen been? How was it measured?

Yes that is lower than we like. It may be that you will need intermittent oxygen therapy to maintain your oxygen levels above 90%

If your energy levels are not high then your oxygen need is less and you may be able to 'tick over' at these low levels however chronic hypoxia can lead to changes in how your body will respond to stimuli and we want to maintain it above 90-95%

Your COPD medication will need to be reviewed to ensure that it is maximising your airways. You must not smoke and should not undertake anything too physically demanding for the time being.

Regards
