Question

What is causing "gas" pains around my left breast? 3 days!

Sent to Health Experts June 22, 2007 1:02 a.m.

Since Tuesday afternoon, I have had what can only be described as gas pains all over my left side. However, I'm not "passing gas" or having any bowel abnormalities. I'm overweight and dread going to the doctor. On Sunday, my family and I ate spicy chicken wings. My stomach bothered me Sunday and Monday, and I attributed it to the spices. On Tuesday, I ate a bowl of cereal with milk. The milk made me feel bloated and sick to my stomach. By afternoon, I was in extreme pain. I got home and stripped my clothes (so there would be nothing tight), and laid around in my gown. Even moving caused sharp pains near my heart. I got worried, as I AM overweight (5'5 and 250 lbs.). But, I checked and had a fever of 100.7. By Wednesday morning, the fever was gone, but I still was in pain. Have had to work (teaching summer school), but cannot take a deep breath, sneeze, cough, sniff, etc. without causing pain under my left breast. Any ideas?
