My 23 year old sister recently developed chest pain, palpitations and sharp, extending pains in her left arm. After visiting her doctor and after some tests he said she had a kink in her artery. She is now taking warfarin. I'm a pharmacy student, and as such am trying to find out more about her condition, but she can't tell me much because she doesn't understand. Is this a coarctation of the aorta or a pseudocoarctation? And what is the difference? where can I find more information about her condition?
