is my chest pain serious? should i go to the hospital?

i have a pain on the right side of my chest (by my lung) and in my esophagus area and it is making it hard for me to breath properly and comfortablyly, for the lat 12 hours.What might it be? Should i go to the hospital or just wait it out?
