I went to my cardiagolist yesterday and explained everything to him that was done in the hospital. He did a EKG on me which was fine and check my blood pressure (120/75) which is really low for me. He said if they did all those tests in the hospital, they would have not released me if they thought I should be taking potasium or they would have gave me medication to take when I returned home. He did not seem alarmed. They did blood electrolyte levels in the hospital while I was there. I think stress of coming back to work was causing the chest pain. If I left his office, the chest pain seem to disappate. Maybe I will buy bananas this weekend just to help abit, but they did not tell me I would need to do this once released from the hospital. Please let me know what you think.

I notice after I eat the past two day, I get very bad indigestion - like a lump in the middle of my chest. Could this be from the acute pancriatis? I just took Rolaids about 1/2 hour ago and ate at 1 p.m. It is now 3 p.m. I hope this will go away. I went for a EKG last night and the doctor told me my heart look o.k. Am I suppose to be eating very light foods and a low carb diet? I ate potatoe salad and a tuna sandwich for lunch. If so, how long do I have to keep to such a diet? Do you know anything about indigestion and acute pancriatis? Do you know if I should be on a diet and for how long? I know that I can't drink alcohol anymore and I haven't and have given it up totally. Please respond.

How long do I have to maintain such a diet? When you say carbs, do you mean like mash potatoes or any kind of potatoes, rice, pasta? Isn't chicken and fish good? I do have acid reflux and am taking previcid right now. I also have anxiety which could be contributing to the chest pains as I have returned back to a stressful environment at work. I know that I cannot have alcohol, but please specify what kind of foods outside of vegetables I can eat? Also, how long should I maintain such a diet?

How long do I have to wait until I can drink alcohol again? Or will it be fatal to drink? Can I ever drink again?
