I had sharp chest pain to mild pain that last 10 ...

I had sharp chest pain to mild pain that last 10 seconds in the upper back & front starting 3 weeks ago. I went to my doctor and he said it wasn't my heart. He ran an EKG & took xrays. Have a cough and he gave me a steriod inhaler for it. My heartbeat was a bit uneven but I do get anxiety from dr's visits ( temp, BPand & heartbeat go up) so he wasn't concerned. ThenI had pressure on my chest when I laid down so I went back to the doctor. He sent me to a cardiologist who did a stress echo & said everything looked great.

I went for a follow up with my doctor and the The pains started to go away so that was good. My blood work was fine besides my cholesterol being a little high. Then three day ago I was in a body toning class doing & sit ups and I started to feel pain around my upper back and around my rips under my breast. Now I have the pains again in the front back on the middle left side-. Wondering if it's a pulled muscle and I should wait it out? Or am I being misdiagnosed?
