why is my right testicle soar?

out of the blue yesterday my right testicle became soar. it's been fairly consistent in it's tenderness. tonight it's seems to have increased in it's discomfort. it occured to me that it could have something to do with my biking daily to work, but the suddeness of my condition makes me think otherwise. i'm in a monogamous relationship wit another man........what are some other possible reasons why?
